Fun at the Park!

Colton and I met our sweet friend Brittany at the Park.  Colton seems to be feeling much better, so we are easing back in to things.  His favorite thing to do was the "big slide!"  I went down with him the first time, and from then on, he wanted to go down on his own.  The best part was that Brittany's husband Ben desinged the entire playground (from placing the bid with the city to the final product)!  He is so talented and was happy to see these pics of Colton enjoying a piece of his work!

Successful Surgery!

Colton had his ear tube surgery yesterday morning.  The worst part was not being able to give him anything to eat or drink, and waking him up at 6:30 (2 hours earlier than he usually gets up).  No wait, I take that back..the hardest part was Colton looking at me while they rolled him back to surgery!  You would think that doing this for a second time would make it easier.  Anyways, last time he had his little surgery, he had hard time "waking up" afterwards. This time was much better!  We are so thankful for good nurses and doctors, and are hopeful that his will help him to feel so much better!

He has been such a big boy through ALL of this sickness the past 6 weeks.  He especially did GREAT yesterday morning!

Tubes

Colton has been so sick these last few weeks.  We have gone through multiple bouts of strep throat, eye infections, and double ear infections.  He also got a viral infection on top of all of that.  When his fever topped at 104.7, we ended up at Children's.  He will be having ear tube surgery again on Monday morning.  Then, his ENT wants him to have an allergy test and an immunity level test.  Hopefully, we can get this boy to feeling better again!  It melts my heart when I am able to capture a sweet smile, even when he is feeling so yucky.

Jessica's Baby Shower!

I had the honor of hosting Jessica's Baby Shower last Saturday.  She is one of my best friends, and I am so excited to share the gift of motherhood with her!

I forgot to get a pic of the "game."  We made a video of  Boyce answering questions like "What character trait do you most hope Briggs will get from Jessica?"  We paused the video and waited for Jessica to answer.  Then we played the video to see if their answers matched.  If so, she received a "Boyce Buck"...good for either diaper changes, night duty, or girls night out.  She got a lot of questions right :)

She got some great and adorable gifts!  The shower was so fun, and now we are all ready for Briggs to arrive! 

Colton and Paden!

Colton had a great weekend with his Murfreesboro friend Paden...and I had a wonderful time catching up with Paden's Mommy!  The boys were just too cute together!  We can't wait to meet up again!

Colton's First Haircut!

On Friday, Colton joined Papa to get his first haircut!  I loved his little curls, but it was time to clean it up!

I tried explaining to Colton that he was going to get his haircut, and he understood once we got there...he kept saying, "haircut!"  He got to watch Papa get his haircut first, which I think was a big help.
