Mrs. Liner is back!!!

NO, Mrs. Liner is not back teaching at school, but at home with Colton!  We had so much fun over the past two weeks learning the letters "T" & "O."  Here is a glimpse of how Colton learned his first two letters.

Nana gave Colton these Dr. Seuss ABC cards.  We practiced letter recognition, finger tracing the letters, & saying the letters outoud.

Here he is yelling "TEEEEEEEEEE!"

and "OOOOOOOOOOOO!"

We played with the foam letters "T" and "O" that stick on the walls of the tub.

He says "O" Mama...and sometimes "oval"

My favorite part was when we used the letters "T" and "O" cookie cutters.

Colton cutting out a "T"

He yelled out "T" and put it right in his mouth :)

Yummy!

We had to make and decorate a football (even though that had nothing to do with our letters)

He had no problem eating them :)

What was left and not eaten...ha!  I am really looking forward to teaching Colton the rest of his letters.  We are also working on his shapes, colors, and numbers!

BATH TIME!

Colton started loving bath time around 2 months old (before that, it was torture!).

He likes to see his reflection and say "Colton!"

He has always enjoyed telling us his body parts...shoulders.

Ear

Head/Hair

Nose

Mouth

Eye...as he almost poked it out!

"Cho Cho Soul"

For all of you Mommies out there who watch Playhouse Disney, you know what "Cho Cho Soul" is!  Well, Colton does too, and he LOVES it.  He yells out, "All Aboard!" whenever the little 5 minute clip comes on!  Then he proceeds to dance around, sing, smile, and giggle.  I wish they made it into a real show.  His favorite one is "Animals on the Farm."  Here he is this morning loving every 5 minutes of it :)  (Sorry, the pics are a little fuzzy)

Here he is cheering and trying to dance at the same time...HA!

Moppets Playdate!

On Monday, some of our MOPS mommies took our kiddos to Taturo's Tumbling and Gymnastics.  Colton and Josiah stuck pretty close to each other most of the time.  Jessica and I were pretty impressed at how brave they were!  All of the kids LOVED it, and we can't wait to go back!

This place was awesome!  There was so much for the kids to do, and everything is padded :)

There were lots of ground level trampolines...they were a big hit!

They boys would run over and plop down on the mats next to the trampolines together.

"WEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Sweet Turner and Colton took a juice break together!

The foam pits were hard for the boys to get out of.

We enjoyed a yummy lunch at Subway....as our boys are now spokesmen for...HA!

They had so much fun, and took great naps too!

Fun Idea!

I saw a creative way to keep Christmas cards from year to year.  One of my sister-in-law's friends had it on her blog, and I decided to do it too.

I like how you can keep them all together in such an easy way!

Josh and I also thought it was good for two other reasons: 1.  We pick a card each week to pray for that family or business.  2.  With all of the picture cards, it is a fun way to teach Colton the names of family and friends.

Sick Days

Little Colton started sneezing on Monday morning, which has led to a yucky cold...boo :(

Look at that pitiful face.

Having a sweet doggy like Ily makes it all better...he loves kissing on her :-)

Ily is the best medicine!

Holiday Weekend...Fun Playdate!

Our funfilled weekend started Friday morning with a playdate with Josiah and 2 new friends (MOPS was cancelled due to weather...boo).  Then, Colton and I grabbed a nice lunch with Jessica at McCalisters.  Friday night, we had a movie night with Daniel and Tiffany.  We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Sami's Saturday morning with Ben and Brittany, and we had a great day at church Sunday!  We meet Nana for a yummy lunch at Chick-fil-a Monday, and had a super fun playdate with Katie and Emery Tuesday morning :)

It was great catching up with my sweet friend Katie, and Colton enjoyed playing ball with Emery!  These two both LOVE any type of ball and Mickey Mouse too :-)

The beginning of arts and crafts!

I LOVE Crayola Color Wonder products!  The markers, paints, gels, etc only work on the Color Wonder paper....so for a person that has a hard time with "messes," this is a great product for me!  I decided to begin using the finger paints with Colton to make "Thank You" cards for his Christmas presents.  At first, Colton wasn't quite sure what the "gel" stuff was on his finger, but then he got the hang of it, and created some great cards....with a little help of course.  We just started using the markers this week too.

He kept saying "oval" as he drew ovals over and over and over again.  When I put his picture away in his bin, he went over and got it out to keep on drawing :-)

He's not too sure how to show his work yet...ha!

I look forward to many more fun times painting and coloring!

Tackle Buddy!

Colton is LOVING his UT tackle buddy!  He always makes deep grunting  sounds whenever he knocks it down :-) He has just started to jump on it and push it all the way to the corner of the room where it can't move anymore...then he is so proud!

"Take that!"

Football?!?

When we were in DC visiting my brother's family, Colton came across a "Draw & Erase Magic Board."  He kept asking me to draw a basketball, football, etc.  Well, finally I asked him to draw a football...take a look...

So, I obviously drew the basketball, and Colton drew the football! Ha!
